I used to believe that having children would strip away my freedom, confining me to a life of endless responsibilities. This assumption led me to feel restricted, as if I had to embody a persona that had all the answers. However, I've come to realize that motherhood hasn't taken away my freedom; instead, it's been a journey towards discovering the best version of myself, pushing my boundaries, facing my fears and empower me embarking on a journey of endless self-discovery.
As mums, you always place your own needs last. I was eating the leftover from my kids in the hope of not wasting any food or money. The lack of having a proper eating plan, stress from juggling work and anxiety of caring for little children lead me to seek comfort from emotional eating; Not exercising, not setting boundaries and not setting proper daily structure, I was functioning from a place of sacrifice & scarcity which very soon turns to bitterness, misalignment and going through the days without purpose.

Recognizing that downwards spiral of bad habits and constant worrying on the lack of money and time, I was blinded from the resources that I have, putting my energy and focus in the wrong place and hinder the process to grow or making life better.
And if you’re a mum who struggles to lose weight, having low energy and find it challenging to integrating self-care into your busy routine. Let's explore why self-love is the foundation for enduring change for lasting wellness.
Here are the four key areas often overlooked in creating lasting wellness:-

1. Knowing Yourself and Your Values: Understanding what truly matters to you can helps align your desires with your actions — even when it means doing what's necessary and not just what's easy.
You might heard of this saying, it costs money to stay healthy, but it’s even more expensive to get sick. Understanding your values allows you to make important life changing decision like embracing fitness into your daily lifestyle.
You know the importance of exercise but very often you haven't truly incorporate it into your daily self-care routine. It is very important that you exercise not just to lose weight but to build lean muscles for longevity, having mobility, flexibility and strength in later years of your life, avoid cardiovascular disease, diabetes, maintain optimal brain function, improving your sleep, improve energy, confidences and day to day performances whether it is at work or your personal life. But very often time you might never connect the dots of how having a great self-care routine can allow you to do of what you value most, leading to a misalignment to create the life you desire - example having more energy to play with your kids or having more patience to nurture your kids.
So, if you desire to change your pattern behavior, it is crucial that you understand your values and learn to connect the dots to help you take necessary action to do what is necessary. It often starts out challenging and difficult at the beginning but I promise you if you do this, you will start to create tremendous resilience towards solving difficult challenges. It would be the first step towards creating a life you desire!!

2. Understanding your love language can provide profound insights into your behaviors, helping to break cycles of self-sabotage, question self-worth, and free yourself from guilt to embrace healthier choices. For a long time, I felt ashamed of my desire for financial independence, misconstruing it as materialism. Later, I discovered that my primary love language is receiving gifts. This realization helped me understand that financial independence allows me to express love and appreciation through thoughtful gifts, aligning with my authentic self. This understanding has fueled my passion for empowering women to start and build their side hustles, enabling them to express their love language and achieve financial autonomy.
Recognizing your love language is a pivotal step toward self-awareness and personal growth. It can illuminate patterns in your behavior, such as self-sabotage, and provide a pathway to healthier choices. For example, if your love language is receiving gifts, you might have felt guilt or shame around this preference, questioning your self-worth. However, embracing this aspect of yourself can lead to more authentic self-expression and fulfillment.
Financial independence plays a crucial role in this context. It not only empowers you to meet your own needs but also enables you to express love in a way that resonates with your love language. By building a side hustle or pursuing financial autonomy, you create opportunities to give meaningful gifts, thereby enhancing your relationships and personal satisfaction.
Empowering women to achieve financial independence is about more than just economic freedom; it's about enabling authentic self-expression and fulfillment. When women have control over their finances, they can align their actions with their love language, leading to more genuine and satisfying connections with others.
Understanding your love language and achieving financial independence are intertwined aspects of personal growth. They enable you to break free from self-sabotaging behaviors, embrace healthier choices, and express love in a way that is true to yourself. By empowering yourself financially, you not only enhance your own well-being but also enrich your relationships through authentic expressions of love.

3. Embracing vulnerability is a powerful step toward personal growth. Recognizing and accepting our weaknesses allows us to seek the appropriate support and resources needed for improvement. I remember this is the exact word I wrote down when I first surrender and start accepting myself who I am, accepting my lack, letting go of the persona of the person that I need to play and making room for growth. I learned that by understanding what I truly required to start exercising, accountability to commit to a fitness routine led me to invest in personal training. This decision not only provided expert guidance but also ensured a structured approach to my workouts, reducing the risk of injury and fostering a sustainable fitness habit.
Moreover, this commitment to health serves as a positive example for my children. When they observe you prioritizing fitness, it reinforces the importance of a healthy lifestyle and encourages them to adopt similar habits. Research indicates that parental modeling significantly influences children's health behaviors, shaping their perceptions of exercise and well-being from an early age.
By acknowledging my vulnerabilities and proactively addressing them, I enhance my ability to contribute effectively to my family, workplace, and personal life. This self-awareness enables me to focus on areas requiring improvement and seek the necessary assistance to achieve desired outcomes. Ultimately, embracing vulnerability transforms it into a strength, fostering resilience and continuous personal development.

4. Mastering your mind involves cultivating self-awareness and self-compassion, which are essential for personal growth and establishing healthy boundaries. By understanding your thoughts and behaviors, you can foster the discipline needed to adopt healthier habits and become the person you aspire to be. Treat yourself as you would a close friend—speak kindly and supportively. This positive self-talk not only reinforces your self-worth but also empowers you to set and maintain boundaries that protect your well-being. By doing so, you unlock your potential and gain the courage to step into the best version of yourself, designing a life that aligns with your true desires.
Transitioning from habits like mindless scrolling to embracing necessary but challenging actions requires mental discipline. Overcoming fear, guilt, and shame is pivotal in this transformation. By mastering your mind, you can elevate your life from ordinary to extraordinary. Achieving such a life necessitates taking bold, sometimes unconventional steps. Remember, extraordinary outcomes often stem from simple yet profound changes in mindset and behavior.
Transitioning from weight loss to achieving optimal health is not a sprint but a marathon. It requires strategies beyond shedding pounds; it necessitates realigning with your inner self. Weight loss isn't a quick fix to prevent long-term health issues but a catalyst to reconnect with yourself, transforming aligned healthy habits to provide the energy, confidence, and courage to design a life you love.

Self-love involves knowing and accepting yourself as you truly are. It means treating yourself with kindness and empathy—a crucial step toward self-mastery.
Losing weight is not a band aid solution towards longevity, optimal health but peak performance but a springboard to transform aligned healthy habits, to integrate self-care into your busy lifestyle. and if you're a mum who is ready to reconnect to your inner loved self, to regain your energy, and confidences so you can be the fun loving mother that you desire, to create the abundance that you deserve and transform extraordinary life, surround yourself with like minded women at The Rising Glow Tribe, get access to life transformation guides, strategies and workshop to help priorities self care to success.
